| A Police Captain undergoes a heart transplant. This procedure would seem almost mundane if the heart he is about to receive didn't come from his wife's lover.
How could someone as honest and loyal as Paula cheat on her husband? She's loved him for 15 years now, coping with his bad temper and the downsides of being a policeman's wife. But her world is turned upside down when the new Sergeant Major arrives at the station. Their love affair is as sudden as it is heartbreaking.
Then dramatic events occur; The Sergeant Major is shot in the head, right before the Captain's eyes. Is he responsible for his rival's death? In shock and weakened by a virus, his heart fails him. A transplant is the only solution.
Now everything lies in the hands of fate.
